Our Provide First Aid course (HLTAID011) is nationally recognised and designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to respond to a wide range of medical emergencies. Whether you're a parent, teacher, tradie, or simply want to be prepared, this First Aid course covers essential techniques including CPR, wound management, burns, fractures, asthma, anaphylaxis, and more.
We offer a flexible delivery model that combines online learning with a short, face-to-face practical session at one of our six convenient Gold Coast and Northern NSW locations. This means you can complete the theory in your own time, then attend a fast, hands-on session to complete your certification.
Our HLTAID011 course is delivered in small class sizes (5–10 participants), ensuring a personalised and efficient training experience. We also offer workplace and group bookings for onsite delivery.

With instruction and practical training in line with legal, workplace and community considerations, Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and other Australian national peak clinical bodies, this first aid course teaches the skills and knowledge to recognise emergencies and provide immediate and effective first aid treatment to any person suffering a sudden illness or injury.
The course covers assessing the casualty, providing safety, accessing emergency services, and using resources to provide first aid, such as providing CPR and using a defibrillator, administering an autoinjector for anaphylaxis, administering asthma medication, assisting someone choking, using appropriate immobilisation techniques for envenomation, fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains, managing casualties with non-life-threatening bleeding and shock.
You will learn basic anatomy, physiology and the differences between adults, children and infants relating to CPR, the importance of the chain of survival, written and verbal reporting of incident details, reviewing incidents to improve own skills and response times, to recognise psychological impacts, and seeking help as required.

The following units will be included in your certificate:
HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support

This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.

Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and rescue breathing techniques on manikins.
Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.

Refresher min. duration: 360 minutes
Blended min. duration: 360 minutes
Face-to-face min. duration: 450 minutes
Online with Face-to-Face (up to 5 students) Min. duration: 60 minutes

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.

Certificates will require renewal after 36 months.

Performance tasks and practical scenarios:
Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position)
Complete a first aid incident report form based on the simulated first aid scenario
Perform CPR on an infant
Manage a casualty with anaphylaxis
Manage a casualty with asthma
Manage a choking casualty
Manage a casualty with non-life-threatening bleeding and shock, requiring minor wound cleaning
Manage a casualty with a nosebleed
Manage a casualty with a fracture and dislocation
Manage a casualty with a sprain and strain
Manage a casualty with envenomation (snake/ funnel-web spider bite)
Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.

We recommend students complete the online learning before attending the practical assessment. This is even more important if it is the first time completing training in your specific course. We understand life can get busy and some students may not have time or have extenuating circumstances. Please let your trainer know if you are yet to complete the online learning. If students are unable to fully complete the online learning before the practical assessment they will have 60 days to finish before the course is abandoned and students will have to book another course.

Absolutely. Our training is designed to be efficient without compromising quality. You’ll receive practical, real-world training delivered in small class sizes for a better learning experience.

Online learning times vary depending on the course. Most students complete online learning for short courses like Provide CPR in 30-45 minutes. More advanced courses like Provide First Aid will take most students 2-3 hours to complete. You don’t have to complete the online learning in one session. You can work through it at your own pace.
